Purpose:
- to include spirituality in the practice of
professional counseling
- to serve as a resource for the professional
counseling profession in spiritual issues in a
multicultural society
- to provide information and leadership to state
and regional organizations on spiritual, ethical,
and religious values in the practice of
professional counseling
- to contribute to the development of professional
counseling and spirituality in private,
religious, and public institutions.
- to provide information to the public on how
spirituality in counseling contributes to the
full development of the person

Shannon Deets MS, LPC, NCC
Shannon is currently working on her
PhD from Gannon University in Counseling Psychology.
Professional interests include working with clients who have a history of
trauma. Shannon has an interest in ethics, and of course spirituality in
counseling. Shannon likes to camp, dance, drum, canoe, and spelunk.

Lisa M. May, PhD is a clinical psychologist
working for Northshore Neurosciences, Erie, PA. Her interests include drum
circles, travel, and photography.

Program at Gannon University. Interests include teaching counseling and

Dave Campbell, MA
Over the past 27
years, Dave’s career has centered on assisting others in their personal and
professional development. His work has included roles as youth counselor,
Director of Human Resources/Employee Relations, EAP Counselor and Director
of Training. He has a unique blend of competence with an M.A. in
Counseling, an M.A. in Industrial and Labor Relations, and he is a Certified
Professional in Human Resources (PHR). Dave is currently working as an
independent HR Consultant. His services include company HR support with an
emphasis on employee training and development. He provides personal &
professional coaching, supervisory skill development and EAP services. Dave
also offers individual and group training in the following content areas:
Situational Leadership II, Problem-solving, Diversity, Teamwork, Trainer
Development, Helping Skills, Sexual Harassment, Customer Service,
