LPC Requirements

Effective January 1st, 2015, all LPCs in the state of Pennsylvania will be required to complete a new Board Approved Act 31 Child Abuse Recognition and Reporting training prior to license renewal.

The University of Pittsburgh has just activated a free online training module which can be accessed through the following link:
 
Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse: Mandated and Permissive Reporting in Pennsylvania Online Training 

This training module, once completed, will be linked directly to each applicant so the state will have immediate verification of completion.  It was recommended that people complete the process in advance of renewal, as the system may become overloaded as renewal deadlines are grouped by professions (e.g., all LPCs have a Feb. 28th renewal date)."
