Multicultural and Social Justice Counseling Competencies

Pennsylvania Association of Multicultural Counseling & Development (PAMCD), a division of PCA, is for professional counselors with an interest in issues related to counseling clients from diverse backgrounds.  PAMCD is a division of the American Association of Multicultural Counseling and Development (AMCD). They also endorse the Multicultural and Social Justice Counseling Competencies (MSJCC) of AMCD.

The Multicultural and Social Justice Counseling Competencies (MSJCC), which revises the Multicultural Counseling Competencies (MCC) developed by Sue, Arredondo, and McDavis (1992) offers counselors and psychologists a framework to implement multicultural and social justice competencies into counseling theories, practices, and research.
