PACCA
PENNSYLVANIA COLLEGE COUNSELING ASSOCIATION
What is the PACCA?The Pennsylvania College Counseling Association (PACCA) is a division of the Pennsylvania Counseling Association (PCA) for professional counselors who have an interest in issues related to the practice of professional counseling in the higher education setting. It's estimated that approximately 2,800 Pennsylvania career, mental health, and substance abuse counselors are college-based (many of whom have obtained the state's new LPC license for practicing outside the K-12 setting). PACCA provides Pennsylvania college-based professional counselors opportunities to network, to participate in professional development activities, and to socialize! Training Event The Pennsylvania College Counselors Association is sponsoring a drive-in workshop on April 11 entitled "Suicide Prevention on College Campuses". It will be held at Shippensburg University from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The cost for this event is $40.00 and includes lunch. This event is co-sponsored with Pennsylvania College Personnel Association (PCPA). Laurie Davidson, from the Center for College Health and Safety, Suicide Prevention Resource Center, will be the speaker. A workshop brochure including a registration form is available below in pdf format.
