KEYSTONE
COUNSELING ASSOCIATION
A REGIONAL
CHAPTER
OF THE PENNSYLVANIA COUNSELING ASSOCIATION
What is the KCA?
The Keystone Counseling Association (KCA) is a regional
chapter of the Pennsylvania Counseling Association (PCA) for
professional
counselors, but currently in inactive status. The KCA covers
the Central Pennsylvania region of Adams, Bedford, Berks, Blair,
Cambria, Cameron, Centre, Clearfield, Clinton, Cumberland, Dauphin, Elk,
Franklin, Fulton, Huntingdon, Indiana, Jefferson, Juniata, Lancaster,
Lebanon, McKean, Mifflin, Northumberland, Perry, Potter, Schuykill,
Snyder, Somerset, Union, and York counties. (The Pennsylvania
state capital of Harrisburg is located in this region.)
It's estimated that between 4,400-5,500
professional counselors live and practice in this region, yet presently, Central
Pennsylvania lacks a PCA regional chapter due to the KCA's inactive
status. However, the PCA would like to change that. We want
to see a PCA regional chapter that once again provides Central
Pennsylvania professional counselors opportunities to network, to
participate in local professional development activities, and to
socialize! But we need your help!
How Do I Join?
Given the fact that the KCA is in inactive status, it's
technically not possible to "join" the KCA at this time. That
said, the PCA is taking names for a list of prospective members.
PCA by-laws
require that at least 15 names be compiled in order to (re)apply for a
charter. Once we obtain 15 names, the next step will be to draft a
set of KCA by-laws. (In order to view the PCA by-laws, you'll need to

If you live and/or practice in the Central Pennsylvania region and
would like to add your name to that list--and we hope you do--click on

name, phone number, and e-mail address):
